Recognition

There are three levels of recognition:

  • Award: An Award is given for projects that demonstrate the highest level of achievement within their category, in accordance with the judging criteria. Award winners receive a framed certificate and use of the Australian Interior Design Awards logo for printed and promotional materials (on request).
  • Commendation: A Commendation is given for projects that demonstrate high standards of achievement within their category, in accordance with the judging criteria. Award Commendations receive a certificate and use of the Australian Interior Design Awards logo for printed and promotional materials (on request).
  • Shortlisted entry: Approximately one third of entered projects are short listed in any given year.  The Short List is published prior to the Awards Announcement, generating publicity for as many entrants as possible. Short listed entries receive a certificate acknowledging their success.

Media recognition

There are significant media opportunities associated with entry including coverage in the official awards report to appear in ARTICHOKE magazine, which is distributed at the Awards Announcement function and to subscribers.

A publicist is appointed to promote the program and its entrants, resulting in significant coverage. In 2018, the media campaign reached an audience of over 188 million through 76 individual pieces of coverage positioned within industry media and across the consumer, business, hospitality and broadcast media spaces.
