Award for Interior Design Impact

This award recognizes the transformative effect that design can have on a building’s occupants and the wider community within the Australian context. Awarded projects deliver exceptional outcomes, made possible by the optimism of good design thinking and thoughtful collaboration between the design practice and client groups.

In 2021 the jury will invite selected awarded and commended projects from the 2018 program to nominate for this accolade.

Nominated entrants will be asked to describe how the project transformed the activities of the building’s occupants and, more broadly, how it has affected or influenced specific communities or society at large. This may include reference to key organizational measures such as profit, sales, client and staff retention, environmental performance and cultural impacts. The evidence provided may be qualitative or quantitative in nature. Projects will be visited at the jury’s discretion and may incorporate client and user interviews.
